This is my best friend, Amie, and her family. We’ve been friends since kindergarten. We were maid of honors in each others’ weddings. Our birthdays are ten days apart. Our mother shared the same birthday. Our daughters share the same birthday. Our sons have been best friends since birth. The Fabianos are friends that are more like family. Amie & Brian (and their two amazing kids!) live just the next town over from me and believe it or not, this is their very first family portrait with me, ever! Sometimes finding the right outfits, a day that works with everyone’s schedules and making the investment isn’t always so simple to do — so many reasons to put off your family portraits. Until you realize your oldest child is ten years old and where the heck did the time go?! Capture your babies because time sure goes by fast! And, Amie, so glad you made this decision (with a little coaxing!). This photo session meant so much to me - to be able to capture your beautiful family in photos and spend this time with you was a gift. Thank you! I hope you love your photos and it was all worth it! Love you guys to bits! Thanks for a fun photo session….so many more fabulous photos to come!
Abbott and Dan tied the knot!! And they chose the Hyatt Regency Harbor Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts as their location for it all. Can’t say I blame them! When talking to Abbott and Dan prior to the wedding, they told me that they wanted to do a “First Touch” but no a “First Look”. If you are wondering what the difference is, it is when the bride and groom touch each other without seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. It’s really a special moment and in this case, with Abbott and Dan’s sense of humor, was actually funny! They made these photos what they are that’s for sure! Becoming the new “Mrs. Nye”, allowed Abbott to come up with some clever and personal touches for their wedding. Took me a little while to realize that they weren’t literally talking about “New Years Eve!” The night wouldn’t be complete without a romantic city skyline photo, pulling Abbott and Dan off the dance floor for just a moment to capture the city lights. Amazing day from start to finish! Congrats, Abbott + Dan!
I photographed the lovely Thomas family at their home in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. This fun-loving and playful family certainly thought of everything we might need during our photo session, including a bench to sit upon. What a brilliant idea! I now might be adding a bench to my list of must-haves for family portraits. Loved photographing your beautiful family, Amy & Peter. You two are a hoot, your children are amazing and your home is fabulous! I hope you love your photos!
Meet Aimee and her three awesome kids! Aimee is a dear friend of mine and just months ago, I had the privilege of photographing her oldest daughter for her high school senior portraits. I was thrilled when Aimee asked me to photograph her fall family portraits. We headed to Larz Anderson Park in Brookline, Massachusetts, when the foliage was just on the cusp of peaking! I loved breaking down this beautiful family of 4 into groups of 2’s and 3’s to capture the little one-on-one relationships that they (like us all!) have with each other; the resembling smiles that Aimee shares with her daughters, the fun-loving bond between mother and son, and let’s not forget the sibling rivalry that dwindles long enough for a quick capture of the unconditional love among these two sisters and their brother. What a gift and pleasure it was to photograph such a beautiful family. How lucky am I to call you my friend, Aimee! I hope you love your photos!
Christi & Roger welcomed their sweet baby boy into this world 8 months ago! I had the pleasure to meet Baby “B” when Christi came to pick up her wedding album at my house. He was just a newborn at that time. So fun to see him sitting up and what a belly laugh on this little man. With a full hour long session, we were able to hit up two favorite spots of mine — Pratt Farm in Hopkinton and a lovely stretch of conservation land in Southborough. Loved seeing you guys! Baby “B” is a gem! Hope you love your photos!
Nothing better than photographing friends that are like family! I’ve been friends with Sheila since kindergarten, our husbands went to high school together, we were in each others’ weddings and our kids think they are actual cousins. This mini portrait session is near and dear to my heart. October is a season of change, and this beautiful family has experienced so many changes this year (good and bad). It is also the month of Sheila & Terry’s wedding anniversary! (Happy Anniversary, you two!) This photo shoot represents so much to me — all of life’s changes, celebrations and the love among family. Love you guys and hope you love your photos! XO
Joey and Sarh hired me last month to photograph their 2020 wedding and it wasn’t long after that when we were planning their engagement shoot. They chose Arnold Arboretum for their engagement location, which has been special place that they’ve enjoyed coming to for quite some time. We began shooting in Dana Garden which I love because of the beautiful lush ivy that grows up the stonewalls, and over trellises, creating a canopy of gorgeousness (not sure if that is a actual word but autocorrect seems to think so). Then, we made our way meandering up and down paths, seeking great light, pretty backdrops and of course great expressions. Mission accomplished. Joey & Sara, you are such a great couple! Loved photographing you and cannot wait until your wedding day! Hope you enjoyed your sneak peek — many more to come!
I first met Elyse at a wedding. She was a bridesmaid and I was the photographer so we got a chance to know each other a little bit throughout the day! I was thrilled when she contacted me to photograph her high school senior portraits. You are bright, kind and beautiful, Elyse! Inside and out! Best of luck in your senior year and you will no doubt go on to do great things!
I love repeat customers for many reasons but at the very top of the list is because I get to see families grow. Like this one! I’ve gotten to know them a bit more this year and I must say that I am a huge fan of this family. Meg nailed it with the outfits - her flowing floral dress, the kids adorable outfits and, Tim, you looked fabulous too! This was my second time photographing this beautiful family and somehow this shoot was even more magical than the first. I think they are getting really good at this photo thing!! Loved seeing you all today. Hope you love your photos as much as I do. Side Note: This antique chair in the first few pics was a little gem I scored at local yard sale. First time using is! Lugged it up a hill in a little red wagon (which made for a fun ride for the kids on the way back down!) Cuties!
I photographed a beautiful and intimate wedding at the Arnold Arboretum last fall and have been itching to go back since! When my friend, Kate, hired me to photograph her family of five, I knew just where I wanted to take them. Baby M is just a few weeks old here, and big brother & big sister did so great with their new addition! Loved the color scheme that Kate selected for her family (not bad, Kate, pulling this together with a 2 week old!). Kate, you are amazing and your family is beautiful, full of love and so well connected. I loved capturing these images for you. Hope you love!
I always look forward to going to a wedding at the The International in Bolton, Massachusetts. However, Sarah & Mike’s wedding was especially great because of the good luck we encountered. The forecast called for rain — and thunderstorms to be precise! However, Sarah & Mike had decided until the very last minute to keep their ceremony outdoors. I loved the idea! And low and behold, the storm skipped on by us as we all witnessed their lovely outdoor ceremony! Then, off we went via golf cart down to the old stone bridge & weeping willow trees (I’ll let the photos do the talking from here!). Reception was held inside the ballroom. Their first dance was so special! I always love a rehearsed duo! Couldn't end the night without a sunset silhouette. Amazing day! Biggest congrats, Sarah & Mike!
Meet Abby - a lovely high school student embarking on her senior year. Had the pleasure to photograph Abby at the Warren Inn & Conference Center in Ashland, Massachusetts. Such a pretty smile and gorgeous brown eyes! Best of luck to you in your senior year, Abby! You are going to great things!
Kristin and Justin may have had the windiest wedding day I have seen in a while, but it didn’t put a dent in their day. Loved how they just went with it! This says a lot of K+J — they definitely are a fun loving, carefree and light-hearted couple. Lots of laughs for sure! K+J met each other on the Harbor Walk for their first look and after a few minutes they were joined by Justin’s two children. What a sweet moment this was! Loved every second. Pretty sure those two cutie pies were just as excited about this wedding day as were Kristin & Justin! Being a city wedding by the water, light grey bridesmaids dresses and groomsmen in navy suits went together swimmingly. Special highlight during cocktail hour was the fireboat that sprayed water into the air in celebration of Kristin and Justin’s wedding day! And every reception needs POM POMS!! Let’s just say that Kristin who spent many years as a cheerleader had something to do with that. Love how the guests (and perhaps former cheerleaders themselves) really embraced that details. Amazing day! Congrats to you both, Kristin and Justin!
Late summer wedding at Zukas Hilltop Barn. Colleen and Jon said “I do” while guests enjoyed sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. In August, much was in bloom, including some 10-foot tall sunflowers. Every corner of Zukas, is a stunning backdrop for photos, which is one reason I was so thrilled when C+J told me they wanted to do a ‘First Look’. This allowed us ample time to capture every nook and cranny that Zukas has to offer. Loved Colleen’s dress, specially the back. Gorgeous Colleen! Don’t even get me started about the dance floor — this group loves to dance (and SING!!) What a hoot and photos to prove it! Biggest congrats to your Colleen + Jon!
I photographed the first half of Kayla’s high school senior portrait session at The Warren Inn & Conference Center in Ashland, Massachusetts. A perfect sunny, summer day and loved Kayla’s variety of outfits. Once we had exhausted enough backdrops at the Warren Center, we left for the Dahlia Farm in the neighboring town of Holliston. And what a little gem this ended up being!! Sunflowers that stood at least ten feet high and rows upon rows of gorgeous blooms. Kayla, you did marvelous!! Best of luck this year and hope you love your photos!
Nothing sweeter than a summer wedding at Zukas Hilltop Barn. It is clear why Kim & Brian selected this gem as a location for their wedding. A hilltop ceremony overlooking the New England countryside and reception under the tent. I just LOVED Kim’s dress - the plunging neckline with delicate lace brocade stole my heart. Kim & Brian’s first dance is worth mentioning because it was….ABSOLUTELY SUPURB!! Of course rehearsed but magical to say the least. We didn’t end the evening without a nighttime twilight photo on the lawn. Oh! What a fabulous day! Congrats, Kim and Brian!
Michelle and Paul’s wedding ceremony was held atto e Sacred Heart Church in Michelle’s hometown of Waltham, Massachusetts. This church was so beautiful on the inside, boasting an amazing stained glass window that cast a rainbow of colored light down the aisle. Reception took place at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor Hotel, which was also (of course!) where we took all the formal photos. Cannot resist this Boston skyline view! Certainly a lively crowd on the dance floor with radio personality, Greg Bedard, as DJ. A night at the Hyatt isn’t complete without a signature night time photo with the cityscape lit up behind the bride and groom. What a glorious day! Congrats, Michelle & Paul!
Jennie & Patrick tied the knot at the Warren Inn & Conference Center in Ashland, Massachusetts. With a little rain shower on the forecast, it was decided it was best to push the ceremony inside under the tented area, which turned out to the perfect idea. Jennie and Pat chose to do a first look so they could get formal photos taken care of prior to the ceremony and (the best part!) could attend their cocktail hour (and that they did!). The reception began with a grand entrance by our bride and groom, followed but some clever and swashbuckling toasts. Jennie and Pat’s first dance was a fabulous choreographed number that wowed their guests — complete with a dip! An amazing day from start to finish. Congratulations, Jennie & Pat!
I partnered with Queensberry Wedding Albums because they are without a doubt, THE BEST!! These gorgeous wedding albums are the highest quality album out there. I love them and my couples do too! This is one the latest albums that arrived. 10x7 Flush-mount Album with Silver Buckram Cover.
I love sharing the little secret gems in my hometown of Hopkinton, Massachusetts. These images are from what I call “Part Two” of Ali and Jared’s engagement shoot. While we started at another lovely location just down the street, I had been eyeing this spot for years, and convinced these two to take a leap of faith that my magical location would be worth their while. And that is was! I think this ended up being part of my favorite series of images. And don’t you just love Ali’s dress? White looks soooo good on you, Ali! Thanks for trusting my crazy ideas.
